Dr. Michelle Krieger holds a PhD in Applied Social Psychology from the University of Windsor (2020), and is now an Advisor at BIT Canada. Prior to joining BIT, she conducted research in the areas of online gender-based and sexual violence, juror decision-making, and health equity.

Dr. Jaclyn Siegel received her PhD in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario in 2021. She is a social psychologist based out of San Diego State University, whose research focuses on the intersections between gender, culture, bodies, and sexuality.

Dr. Sofia Noori received her M.D. from UCSF School of Medicine in 2017 and is now a Psychiatry Resident at Yale School of Medicine, as well having been a Post-Doc in the PWR Lab. Her research and clinical interests include women’s mental health, underserved populations, and technology’s potential to reduce health disparities.

❖ Dr. Chantal Martinezgraduated from FIU in 2022 with a Ph.D. in Psychology. She is an IO psychologist whose research interests include the well-being and strengths of marginalized populations at work, including LatinX young adults.

❖ Dr. Anna Kallschmidt graduated from FIU in 2022 with a Ph.D. in Psychology. She is an IO psychologist whose research interests involve social class, identity, and diversity at work. She now works as a Workforce Analytics Senior Consultant at Deloitte.

❖ Dr. Yanet Ruvalcaba graduated from FIU in 2021 with a Ph.D. in Psychology. She is a developmental psychologist whose research interests involve gender-based violence and technology-facilitated sexual abuse. She now works at the CDC on the Sexual and Intimate Partner Violence team.

❖ Dr. Danilo Le Sante graduated from FIU in 2021 with a Ph.D. in Psychology. He is an IO psychologist whose research interests involve identity, diversity, and discrimination and diversity at work. He now works as a Data Insight Analyst at DDI, STATS.

❖ Dr. Alexander Snihur graduated from FIU in 2021 with a Ph.D. in Psychology. He is an IO psychologist whose research interests involve identity, diversity, and discrimination at work. He now works for Facebook as as UX Researcher.

❖ Dr. Ryan Jacobson graduated from FIU in 2019 with a Ph.D. in Psychology. He is an IO psychologist whose research interests include understanding how organizational culture and context can help support demographically diverse work groups. He now works for LinkedIn as a Talent Management & Assessment Consultant.

❖ Dr. Edward (Ed) Sullivan graduated from FIU in 2019 with a Ph.D. in Psychology. He is an IO psychologist whose research interests involve allyship and diversity at work and women’s leadership. He now works for People Analytics doing organizational effectiveness consulting.

❖ Dr. Jessica (Jess) Saunders graduated from FIU in 2018 with a Ph.D. in Psychology. She is a feminist-trained developmental psychologist whose research interests involve promoting positive mental and physical health outcomes for girls and women. She went on to work as a Post Doctoral Research Associate for the Women’s Research Institute of Nevada at University of Nevada Las Vegas.

❖ Talia Akerman graduated from the University of Florida where she majored in Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience and minored in English. She is now pursuing a Masters in Mental Health Counseling at Teachers College, Columbia University.

❖ Jessenia (Jess) Acuna graduated from FIU with a B.A. in psychology, a B.S. in criminal justice, and a Certificate in National Security Studies. After working in Thailand as a teacher in a rural under-served community through the American-Thai Foundation, she went on to earn a MSW degree from NYU.

❖ Sabrina Aguilar graduated from FIU with a M.S. degree in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and hopes to work in the area of sex addiction.

❖ Anaïs Alvarez graduated from FIU with a B.A. in Psychology and went on to pursue a Psy.S. in School Psychology at NOVA Southeastern University.

❖ Nicole Alvarez de Oña came to us from Duke, and went on to pursue a law degree from the University of Chicago in Fall 2017.

❖ Audrey (Drey) Aradanas graduated from FIU with B.A.s in women’s and gender studies and political science and international relations, as well as certificates in Latin American and Caribbean Studies and Queer Studies. She went on to pursue a Master’s degree in FIU’s Higher Education Administration Program in Fall 2017.

Jasmine Banks graduated from FIU as McNair scholar with a B.A. in psychology and a minor in sociology. She went on to pursue a Ph.D. in psychology (area: Personality and Social Contexts) from the University of Michigan with Dr. Myles Durkee.

❖ Bronwen Bares Pelaez earned her Ed.D. in the College of Education at FIU and continues to serve as the Associate Director for the Women’s Center in the Division of Student Affairs at FIU.

❖ Paulina Bollat graduated from FIU with a B.A. in psychology and went on to pursue a Master’s Degree in Social Work at FIU.

❖ Amanda Borges graduated from FIU with a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Art at the FIU Honors College. After completing her B.A., she plans to pursue a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology specializing in Forensic Psychology.

❖ Camila Bourzac graduated from FIU with B.A.s in Psychology and Criminal Justice. She plans on continuing her studies by attending graduate school in order to specialize in Forensic Psychology.

❖ Garrett Brown graduated with his master’s degree in I-O psychology from the University of West Florida in 2022. He intends to pursue his Ph.D. in I-O Psychology.

❖ Darlene Carmichael earned her B.A. in Psychology with honors, and is now a Case Manager at CAMBA, Brooklyn-based nonprofit agency.

❖ Leo Carbajo earned his B.A. in Psychology and certificate in queer studies at FIU, and went on to pursue a Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration.

❖ Cindy Cartagena graduated from the University of Florida with a B.A. in Sociology, minors in Innovation, Linguistics and a concentration in Psychology. Cindy is now a Court Support Advocate at The Lodge, a nonprofit organization with a focus on Gender Violence, Disenfranchised Communities, and Animal Welfare

❖ Augusto Cidivini earned his B.A. in Neuroscience, with minors in Latin American studies and studio art, at Vassar College, and is now working at Lotus House in Miami, Fl.

❖ Ilemis de la Cruz graduated from FIU with a B.A. degree in Psychology and went on to volunteer for the Peace Corps as a/an Community Development Volunteer in Macedonia.

❖ Ana Estevez graduated from FIU with majors in Psychology and Women’s & Gender Studies. She plans on going to graduate school after completing her B.A. to pursue a Ph.D. in Social or Clinical Psychology.

❖ Luana Faria graduated from FIU with a bachelor’s degree in social work and went on to pursue a Master’s degree in Social Work from FIU.

❖ Katherine (Katt) Fernandez graduated from FIU with a double major in Psychology and Women’s Studies. She went on to earn a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at NOVA Southeastern University.

❖ Robert Gonzalez graduated from FIU with a double major in Psychology and Communication Arts. In 2018, Robert went on to pursue a Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology at George Washington University.

❖ Katia Grossov graduated from FIU with a major in Psychology and a minor in English. She plans to pursue a Ph.D. in I/O Psychology.

❖ Jordan Guedes graduated from FIU with a double major in Psychology and Women’s and Gender Studies. He went on to pursue a Master’s Degree in Social Work at FIU.

❖ Natalia Guitierrez graduated from FIU with B.A.s in psychology and women’s and gender studies, and went on to pursue a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling at NOVA Southeastern University.

❖ Jaylon Hadley graduated from FIU with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and went on to work with Miami Shores United Church of Christ.

❖ Shanequea Harris is a recent graduate of the I-O psychology Master’s program at the University of West Florida, and intends to pursue a Ph.D. in I-O Psychology.

❖ Jazmine Hawa graduated from FIU with majors in Psychology and Medical Sciences. After her undergraduate studies she plans on conducting research and attending medical school.

❖ Aly Hernandez graduated from FIU with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and went on to attend the FSU Applied Behavior Analysis Master’s Program.

❖ Anilenia (Ani) Hernandez graduated from FIU with a bachelor’s degree in women’s and gender studies and went on to pursue a Psy.D. in Clinical and Community Psychology at Point Park University with Dr. Britney Brinkman.

❖ Eliana Hernandez graduated from FIU with a major in psychology and is now a Junior Special Events Manager at FIU’s Graham Center.

❖ Sabrina Hodak graduated from FIU with a B.A. in Psychology with a certification in Women’s and Gender Studies. After completing her B.A., she went on to pursue a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology.

❖ Elizabeth Jarquin graduated from FIU with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and went on to attend the Marriage and Family Counseling Master’s program at NOVA.

❖ Barbara Junco graduated from FIU with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and went on to attend Birkbeck University of London for the MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience.

❖ Emily Jurich graduated from FIU as a McNair Scholar with a Psychology degree and certificate in Women and Gender’s studies. She is now a research coordinator at the University of Michigan’s Medical School.

❖ Anabel Lopez graduated from FIU with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and went on to pursue a Master’s in Finance at FIU’s College of Business Administration in Fall 2015.

❖ Sergio Marquez obtained his B.A in psychology from FIU, with a minor in English literature, and began his Ph.D. in I-O Psychology at Michigan State University in Fall 2017, pursuing work on emotional labor, differential prediction, and individual differences.

❖ Natalia Martinez graduated from FIU with a B.A. in Psychology on a biological sciences track. After gaining enough experience as an emergency room scribe and medical assistant, she wishes to pursue a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from FIU.

❖ Adriana Medina graduated from FIU with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a certificate in Queer Studies, and went on to pursue a M.A.. in Social Psychology at Clark University with Dr. Nicole Overstreet.

❖ Noelle Mendez received her bachelor’s degree in psychology and criminology from the University of Miami, and now serves as a full-time Research Associate on the University of Miami medical campus with Dr. Safren in the Health Promotion and Care Lab, after which she plans to pursue a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology.

❖ Patricia Milanes graduated from FIU with a B.S. in Biology and is the current PWR Lab manager. She plans on getting into medical school and working with underserved populations.

Mikiba W. Morehead graduated with her Ed.D. in the School of Education and Human Services at the University of St. Thomas in Houston, TX.

❖ Andrew Morrison received his bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2018 and plans to go on to purse a Master’s Degree in I/O Psychology.

❖ Camila Munoz graduated from FIU with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, business minor, and certificate in women and gender studies. After graduating she plans to pursue a graduate degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology to work as an Organizational Consultant.

❖ Tiffany Munro graduated from FIU with a B.A. in Philosophy and Psychology. She went on to pursue a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with Dr. Nicholas Frost.

❖ Katherine Ordoñez was a high school research intern in the PWR Lab under the TERRA Program in the Summer of 2012. She is currently attending the University of Chicago as an undergraduate student.

❖ Nathaly Ossa graduated from FIU with majors in psychology, criminal justice, and biology. She went on to pursue a Ed.S. School Psychology Program at FIU.

❖ Shenira Perez graduated from FIU with a B.A. in psychology and went on to earn a Ph.D. at Boston College in Applied Development and Educational Psychology.

❖ Tirsa Perez earned her B.A. in Psychology from Florida International University and went on to pursue a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology at the Florida Institute of Technology, supervised by Dr. Vida Tyc.

❖ Jolieth Piniero graduated from FIU as a McNair scholar with Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Women’s & Gender Studies, a minor in Sociology, and a Certificate in Queer Studies. She continued her education by pursuing a Ph.D. in social psychology from the University of Michigan, working with Dr. Liz Cole.

❖ Michael Powell is president of the Secular Student Alliance at FIU and is working towards a bachelor’s degree in psychology. After his 2015 summer internship in the Gilbert Psychology Lab at Harvard University he relocated to Boston and became a Teach for America Teacher.

❖ Janite Polydor graduated from FIU with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and went on to work as a Team Leader for City Year in Miami, Florida, and then went on to pursue an MBA from FIU’s College of Business Administration.

❖ Daphne Pozo graduated from FIU with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She went on to earn a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from the University of Florida, and is now pursuing a Doctorate in Marriage and Family Counseling at Nova Southeastern University.

❖ Brittany Priore graduated from FIU with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She went on to found the website http://thewritedose.com/, whose mission is to mission is to empower, inspire, and unite women. She also went on to pursue a Master’s Degree in Creative Writing.

Natalia Reyes majored in Psychology at the FIU Honors College. After completing her B.A. she plans on attending medical school and specializing in psychiatry.

❖ Jennifer Riccitelli graduated from FIU with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and went on to become part of the AmeriCorps team in Wenatchee, Washington.

❖ Emanuel Rojas graduated from FIU with a BA in Psychology and Mathematics (Comprehensive Track) and then started the Ph.D. program in Engineering Psychology at Georgia Institute of Technology.

❖ Caressa Rolle graduated from FIU with a B.A. in psychology and a certificate in Women’s and Gender Studies, and went on to teach at a local charter high school.

❖ Eugenia Ruiz graduated from FIU with a major in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and a minor in Communication Studies. She hopes to pursue an M.S in Organizational Sciences.

❖ Sheyla Tendero graduated from FIU in Fall 2018, with a major in sociology and a minor in biology. As a pre-med student, she then hopes to enter medical school to earn a Doctorate of Medicine and of Philosophy (MD-PhD) degree.

❖ Trisha Todman graduated from FIU with a major in psychology and a minor in Art. She went on to earn a graduate degree in Art Therapy at Florida State University.

❖ Edilmary Urdaneta  graduated from FIU with a B.A. in Chemistry and a minor in Biology in the Honors College. She is now preparing to enter medical school where she will pursue a Doctorate of Medicine and of Philosophy (MD-PhD).
